Falling foss tea garden

Falling Foss Tea Garden is a small but enchanting tea garden set in the grounds of Midge Hall, a tiny cottage which nestles at the top of the magnificent Falling Foss Waterfall in the heart of Sneaton forest.

Whether you’re in the midst of the Coast to Coast walk or perhaps just out for a leisurely saunter through the fabulous ancient woodland, Falling Foss Tea Garden is the perfect place to relax and unwind, enjoy a light lunch, a sumptuous cream tea or perhaps just an ice cream.

For many years this natural beauty spot has been a favourite for children. Let there imagination run wild in the forest, perhaps visit the Hermitage, a unique hermits cave carved out of stone, (just 5 minutes walk from the waterfall) or just relax with a cup of tea while the children enjoy paddling in the beck and playing pooh sticks on the footbridge (pooh sticks provided!).

All food is freshly prepared and homemade cakes & scones are baked on site daily. We use only quality ingredients which are sourced locally wherever possible.

Approx. 5 miles from Whitby, 15 miles from Scarborough sign posted off the B1416 Ruswarp road.

Parking at Sneaton Forest car park, with foot path access to Falling Foss Tea Garden (3 mins walk).

For the more adventurous why not park at Little Beck and enjoy the woodland walk to Falling Foss (approx 1 1/2 miles) or May Beck (approx. 3/4 mile)
